Notes: Doors only opened 45 minutes late today which is pretty darn good for SHIMMER.  Daffney, Jennifer Blake, and Ayako Hamada made it there today after being unable to appear yesterday.  It sure seems like SHIMMER is being taken over by international wrestlers as most of the women today were from Australia, Japan, or Canada and it makes for a fun and diversified show.  It was also strange that both sets of Championships were defended in the first taping of the day but neither of them were defended in the second taping – SHIMMER doesn’t usually do that.

Pre-show SPARKLE matches:
-Knight Wagner beat Secret Ninja 347 via a schoolboy roll-up
-Anna Manoushka & Shanaynaylos to PJ Tyler and Leva Bates
*Crowd LOVES Leva and she should be featured more regularly on the main roster
instead of someone like Jessica James

SHIMMER Volume 31:
-“The Rate Tank” Kellie Skater pinned Jessica James
*Skater is AWESOME and is definitely one to watch.  Her chest was still lit up from all
of Mercedes Martinez’s chops last night.  James is just not ready for primetime
- Jessie McKay defeated Sassy Stephie after a capture sit-out spinebuster
- Malia Hosaka beat Rayna Von Tosh with an implant buster
* Is it wrong that I hope Vince snaps up Rayna soon so I never have to see her stink up
our SHIMMER rings again? She is really nice and pretty in person but is a disaster in
the ring.  Hosaka hit the nail on the head when she said “This is a wrestling ring, not
a strip club”
- Tomoka Nakigawa lost to Mercedes Martinez after a fisherman’s buster boosted by the
top turnbuckle
- Melanie Cruise (with Annie Social) used outside interference and pulled the tights to
defeat Allison Danger
*Cruise is growing on me. “Girl Dynamite” Jennifer Blake makes the save after a post-match beatdown by the heels and a challenge is made for a tag match on the next volume
- In a NO DQ Match, Daffney pinned Rachel Summerlyn with a cradle swinging
neckbreaker
*Crowd loves Daffney and is not buying into Rachel AT ALL.  Daffney was great
screaming at the ref “You can’t do anything” and barking all that rookie nonsense to
Summerlynn.  The match, however, didn’t take much advantage of the No DQ
stipulation and could have been a lot crazier for what is supposed to be a pretty serious
blood feud
- Hiroyo Matsumoto beat LuFisto with a backdrop driver
*Match started off with lots of ass biting and slapping.  LuFisto was announced at
141 lbs and Joey Eastman said she gained a pound since yesterday since she ate at The
Cracker Barrel last night – too funny!

- Promo backstage has Amber Gertner interviewing Madison Eagles.  Eagles says she is
the future champion and that she won her match with Cheerleader Melissa fair and
square

- Miyaki Ohata lost to Cheerleader Melissa  due to the kudo driver
*Ohata is very tiny but very cute as well.  She had to be helped back to the dressing
room by several referees

-Promo backstage has MsChif  saying she is one of the longest reigning champions in
wrestling and that she has defeated everyone that has been placed before her, even
international wrestlers like LuFisto, Kong, Sarah Stock, and Jetta so Eagles will be no
different

- SHIMMER Tag Team Champions Portia Perez & Nicole Matthews defeated Ariel &
Nikki Roxx with their superkick/german suplex finisher on Roxx
*Fun match that had Roxx & Ariel steal the Ninjas’ tshirts at the beginning and put
them on only for Ariel’s not to fit her.  There was even a gymnastic competition at one
point
- Daizee Haze lost to Ayako Hamada after a michinoku driver
*New heel music for Daizee.  A very loud “Lazy Daizee” chant broke out when Haze
kept exiting the ring to avoid contact with Hamada.
- Ayumi Kurohawa pinned Sara Del Rey via roll-up in a bit of an upset
*I would be remiss in not mentioning that Ayumi has the most annoying entrance
music I have ever heard
- Madison Eagles defeated SHIMMER Champion MsChif with a surprise roll-up to win
the title
*On the other hand, Madison’s new music is SWANK!  Finish came out of nowhere
and totally SHOCKED the crowd.

SHIMMER Volume 32:
-“Jumpin” Jamilia Craft pinned “The Modern Day Moolah” Mailia Hosaka with a victory
roll
*Lexie Fyfe was around during intermission but didn’t come out with Hosaka,  instead
sending out Lexie-on-a-stick again.  In a trend that would continue later in the
evening, there was some really bad officiating in this match.  At 2 different points
Hosaka attacked Craft with a stick but the ref just let it go without a DQ.  Craft was
MUCH better today and didn’t seem as nervous or sloppy as yesterday.
- Rachel Summerlynn made Kellie Skater tap out to a texas cloverleaf
- Cat Power pinned Neveah
- Melanie Cruise & Annie Social got beat by Allison Danger & Jennifer Blake when
Social was pinned by Black following a pumphandle driver
*The Canadian ladies got Social & Cruise all riled up by getting the crowd to sing the
theme from “The Addams Family” to them.  And a funny moment happened when
Danger wanted Social to tag cruise in she yelled “Social, Release the Krakken!”
- Tomoka Nakigawa used a water spit into a capture suplex to defeat Jessie McKay

- Promo backstage as Amber Gertner is with Madison Eagles again.  Eagles says that no one in SHIMMER is worthy to challenge her so she WILL NOT be defending the title tonight.  Instead she’ll just sit back and watch everybody start back up from scratch.

- Portia Perez beat Tenille with a superkick
*Pretty pedestrian match save for Portia’s heel antics and Tenille’s cool swinging
karate kick around the post at ringside
- Sara Del Rey used the royal butterfly to pin Misaki Ohata

- Promo on screen of Ayumi Kurihawa but it is all in Japanese.  The gist of it was that she will be back and she wants the SHIMMER Championship belt

- Daffney comes out to the ring with a microphone and asks if we all remember The Scream Queens?  She said she got hurt and MsChif blew her off to pursue singles glory  and call her a “belt mark”!  She then calls her out to come down and look into her eyes.  MsChif comes out and responds by saying she always loyal to SHIMMER and Daffney was the one who left to pursue other “endeavors”.  She said she earned  every title she has had and it breaks her heart that it has come to this.  The girls then start fighting and referee Andy Long comes out to make the match official

- Daffney got pinned by MsChif following the descrator
*The crowd was kinda quiet during this one but I think it was because they were enthralled with the story being told in the ring.  There was lots of cool mirroring of moves and spots dealing with their familiarity with each other.  After the match,  MsChif stood over the fallen Daffney and just shook her head
- “Dark Angel” Sarah Stock beat Nicole Matthews by kicking one of the SHIMMER Tag
Team Title belts into her face
*Matthews continues to impress with another good singles outing.  The finish came when Portia Perez ran to ringside to give Matthews one of the tag belts to use as a weapon while the ref was distracted but it backfired when Stock kicked it back in her face.  Sarah Stock DEFINITELY needs to come back to SHIMMER more regularly as she was awesome all weekend long.

- Ring Announcer Joey Eastman hypes up the rest of the show and lays down some incentives for all of us to come to the after-party at The 3910 Lounge.  He said if 100 fans show up (to be counted by personally high-fiving referee Bryce Remsburg) referee PJ Drummond will dance like Bill Cosby on a table, Kellie Skater will chop a random fan, Annie Social will smile, Cat Power will give a random fan cat scratch fever, Allison Danger and bryce remsburg will have a dance-off, and they will call The Green Man and have him show up at the party

- Daizee Haze defeated Ayumi Kurihawa by Countout
*The bad officiating rears its ugly head again as Ayumi was knocked off the top rope into the barrier at ringside and struggled to get back to her feet.  Referee PJ Drummond started to count her out but at the count of “8” she got on the apron only to be kicked off by Haze and again at the count of “9” she was not let in by Daze.  The ref did not stop this and, in fact, continued the count without starting over due to interference.  When Daizee won that way the crowd was PISSED and it instantly made PJ Drummond the biggest heel in the promotion.
- Hiroyo Matsumoto lost to Mercedes Martinez after a fisherman’s buster
*Great match with great heat that was stiff and fun.  Mercedes is a class act
- Cheerleader Melissa pinned Ayako Hamada following a BRUTAL kudo driver
*Lots of “This is awesome” chants during this one. Hamada has ZERO personality and looks like she would rather be anywhere else but here but at one point she busted out a wicked moonsault off the top onto Melissa who was on the ringside floor.  After the match Melissa went to shake Hamada’s hand but she got slapped in the face instead.  Melissa slapped her back and THEN Hamada shook her hand.  They then both hugged each other and raised each other’s hands.  Madison Eagles’ music then hits and she comes out to have a brief staredown with Cheerleader Melissa before bailing to the floor and posing to the camera with the SHIMMER Championship.

Notes: An interesting show as a lot of younger faces were given the opportunity to shine with the absences of Amazing Kong, Daffney, Ashley Lane, Lexie Fyfe, Wesna Busic, Amber Oneal, and The International Home Wrecking Crew.  The show started late as usual but the weather was nice so the wait wasn’t that bad.  The Japanese visitors were decent but nothing to write home about unless you REALLY like missile dropkicks because they threw A LOT of them.  Also, there was a new female referee for this set of tapings named Carly Ray. Not a blow-away show wrestling-wise but it was pretty angle intensive so it was still fun.

*Neveah has now become a brunette and looks MUCH better
-Annie Social & Melanie Cruise lost to Nikki Roxx & Ariel via a Roxx Barbie crusher on Social
- LuFisto (w/ Peekaboo) made Rachel Summerlynn tap out to a stranglehold
- Mercedes Martinez beat “Jumpin’ Jamilia Craft due to a fisherman’s buster
*Craft is the youngest graduate of the SHIMMER wrestling academy and performed okay but was kinda sloppy
- Allison Danger defeated Rayna Von Tosh
*Tosh is just TERRIBLE. Her gimmick is annoying and she is akward as hell in the ring.  These girls are taking on the worst traits of their trainer, Daizee Haze

-A promo of The Canadian Ninjas was shown on the screen and as Danger watched it Portia Perez snuck in through the crowd and attacked her with handcuffs.  Nicole Matthews held referee Bryce Remsburg back as Perez MAJORLY messed up Danger.  Leva came in to save but Melanie Cruise and Annie Social held her off and launched her into the ringside barrier.

- Sassy Stephie lost to Madison Eagles
- Cat Power  was beat by Jessie McKay
*Cat may be getting more serious as the usual cat toys didn’t distract her like they normally do

- Amber Gertner is in the ring and introduces the returning “Dark Angel” Sarah Stock.  Stock said she remembers beating MsChif in the SHIMMER title tournament and wants a shot at her championship.  It is announced she will get it on Volume 30.  Also announced is The Canadian Ninjas versus Cheerleader Melissa & MsChif  for the Tag Titles later on tonight

- Sarah Del Rey pinned Tenille
*Tenille is now blonde.  Funny moment as a member of the audience yelled to Del Rey “She’s not scared of you” and she responded “She should be!”
- Misaki Ohata beat Daizee Haze via a roll-up
*After the match Daizee snapped and turned heel viciously attacking Ohata.  Jamilia Craft came down to pull Daizee off of her by talking about “showing respect” and Haze attacked her too.  She laid them both out with double chicken wing suplex
- Ayumi Kurihara defeated Tomoka Nakagawa with a hammerlock northern lights suplex
- SHIMMER Tag Team Champions Portia Perez & Nicole Matthews were victorious over the team of SHIMMER Champion MsChif & Cheerleader Melissa after Mschif was superkicked into a german suplex.
*Heels continued the beatdown after the match until Allison Danger made the save and finally got some licks in on Portia Perez

SHIMMER Volume 30:
-Malia Hosaka (with Lexie on a stick) defeated Leva Bates following an implant buster
*Idiots in the crowd once again chanted “USA” to bother Hosaka but once again failed  to remember she is from Hawaii
- Annie Social & Melanie Cruise beat Rachel Summerlyn & Jessica James
- Cat Power was hit with a burning hammer and lost to LuFisto
*Power had to be helped from the ring by several referees

- A promo was shown with Daizee Haze saying she taught Jamilia Craft and she disrespected her by trying to stop her beatdown earlier in the night.  She made a challenge to Craft and Ohata for later with Tomoka Nakagawa as her partner

- Mercedes Martinez beat Kellie Skater with a chop flurry and a burning hammer
- Ayumi Kurihara defeated Nikki Roxx with The Summerslam ’92 British Bulldog pin

- A Mschif and Cheerleader Melissa promo is shown.  Melissa said she is breaking up the tag team to focus on singles and that in their last two tag matches MsChif took the fall each time.  Sarah Stock and Madison Eagles interrupt both claiming the SHIMMER title will be theirs soon.  MsChif says that whoever wins between her and Stock later tonight will face the winner of the Melissa/Eagles match at a later date with the title on the line

- “Jumpin” Jamilia Craft & Misaki Ohata lost to Daizee Haze & Tomoka Nakagawa when haze pinned Craft
- Nicole Mathhews used a roll of the dice to pin Jessie McKay
*Crowd LOVES Jessie McKay
- Sara Del Rey beat Hiroyo Matsumoto after a falling piledriver
- In A Last Woman Standing match, Portia Perez could not meet the count back up after Allison Danger gave her an old school expulsion on a chair
*This match went all over the Berwyn Eagles Club and even involved some fan’s belt on several occasions.  Perez talked major trash about Danger’s daughter throughout which really fired her up.  Nicole Matthews brought a chair to the ring for Perez to use but Jennifer Blake appeared out of nowhere and fought Matthews all the way to the back
- Madison Eagles pinned Cheerleader Melissa with her feet on the ropes
*Eagles had new music and is now a full-on heel
-SHIMMER Champion Mschif pinned “Dark Angel” Sarah Stock after The Desecrator
*Disappointing match that I don’t think even went 10 minutes.  The crew came to the ring before the match to tighten the ropes which made sense once the match began as Stock was springing all over the place off of them.  Crowd was pretty quiet throughout this one and it is pretty obvious they have to take the title off of MsChif soon because her title reign is getting stale as hell.

With the the way the media has been going CRAZY about this artist’s rendition of Barack Obama you would think that the goddamn world was about to end. All the leftist talking heads and website columnists showing such offense at this picture and practically calling for the artist’s head on a plate is making me so angry at their ridiculous short-sightedness and obvious bias. During the last election a similar photo of Bush painted up like the Joker was featured on the cover of fucking VANITY FAIR and they didn’t make a peep. It’s hypocrisy like this that makes it hard for me to even watch the news anymore!
